Choose a PresetOptional
Select a preset if you’re not sure where to start. Think of it like choosing a recipe: if you’re running a Google Display ad, pick Google Display and we’ll fill in the details for you. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it saves you from reinventing the wheel.
Your Page and Your TagsFirst Four Required
Enter the full URL of the landing page where you want your visitors to go, for example https://www.example.com/page. If you forget the https://, don’t sweat it. We’ll add it, but double-check that your URL is right.
This tells you where your traffic is coming from. Think of it like the sender’s name on a letter: google, facebook or newsletter, for example. Use a name that makes sense to you so you can spot the source later.
How your message is delivered. Is it a paid ad? Use cpc. An email blast? Use email. A social campaign? Then social is your friend. It’s the method your campaign uses to reach its audience.
Name your campaign something unique and memorable, like summer_sale, black_friday_blast or launch_event. This name helps you track the campaign later, so don’t be shy about being creative!
Optional. Use this for keyword tracking, especially in paid search campaigns. If you’re bidding on running shoes, you might enter running+shoes. Think of it as an extra note that pinpoints what brought your visitors in.
Optional. Use this to tell similar ads or links apart. If you have two call-to-action buttons on the same page, label one top_button and the other bottom_button. It’s a handy way to see which version worked best.
Custom ParametersOptional
Add Your Own Tags
Add any extra tracking details here. It’s like sprinkling your secret sauce on top of the standard UTMs! For example, affiliate=1234 or source=blog. Use these fields to capture any other data that matters for your campaign analysis.

Read the results in GA4
Google Analytics 4 sorts your visits by the source, medium and campaign names you typed, so you can see which one brought people in.
Keep your names consistent
Use the same spelling every time. GA4 reads Newsletter and newsletter as two different sources, so lowercase keeps your reports tidy.
